Welcome Book Lovers, Animal Lovers and men and women of the world!
I hope you find something to interest you in my blog. I wanted a place to share my love of books, make some sense of the Universe, and possibly make some friends along the way. If you like what you see, please feel free to comment, and if you are a fellow book lover or animal lover, it's a pleasure to know you. Come back any time and share your day with me!
Well, reading for an hour doesn't guarantee that the reader is alone, only that the act of reading has soothed whatever distress is ailing them. With that I must agree. It has always served as my aspirin to open a book and get lost in it's pages. GB, if it doesn't work for you, believe harder, work at it a bit more. It's a quick cheap, but irreplaceable fix for what ails you. (or me)
Authors, Publishers, Friends-Welcome-I am an independent book reviewer. If you are interested in having me review a book, e-mail me and I will respond promptly. I have a bachelor's degree in Creative Writing and Literature from Stockton College (NJ) I currently review for Early Reviewer's Program on LibraryThing and at the request of authors whom I have become acquainted with on various websites and blogs.I am an avid reader. There is nothing I enjoy as much. I am a writer. I have read and written since I could read my first word and hold my first pencil. I have a deep love and respect for animals. I volunteer at a local shelter and own 3 small dogs. My daughter first brought home a Bengal cat. He allowed us to love him. Recently my daughter brought home a calico kitten. Known to be a feisty breed and bred from feral parents, she was and is quite literally, a handful. Initially, a tiny, fluffy handful of multicolored fur and bright, snapping eyes we grew to love her.(The daughter was counting on that, I think.)Love love love my husband and my girls, three of them, all wonderfully bright and stunningly beautiful, and I'm not prejudiced, they really are beautiful.
I wonder how much rest came from the reading and how much came from just being left alone for an hour.
